TOC workshop with adolescent stakeholders
A Theory of Change (TOC) workshop was conducted with the stakeholders of adolescents on 27 December 2018, under the IDEA project. Altogether 10 participants, including parents, teachers and service providers (adolescent stakeholders), participated in the workshop. The workshop aimed to collect diverse ideas and information on the feasibility of conducting adolescent mental health research in Nepal.
Dr. Kamal Gautam, Principal Investigator for IDEA project in Nepal, facilitated the workshop and gave a brief presentation on the concept of depression, IDEA project, and Theory of Change. The participants shared the trend of adolescent depression and suicidal tendencies in their respective environment and also gave interesting inputs for the TOC pathway. Parents/guardians, teachers, and service providers also worked in groups to identify the challenges for research on adolescent depression.
The next workshop will be conducted with policymakers, clinicians and researchers.
