Ms. Sabina Maharjan has been working in psychosocial, mental health, and nursing since 2013 in different capacities such as a counselor, teacher, clinical supervisor, and psychologist in different organizations (Juvenile Correction Home, Aasara Sudhar Kendra, Active College Basundhara, and TPO Nepal). Currently, she is involved in TPO Nepal as a Clinical Psychologist/Clinical Focal person. She completed M.Phil in Clinical Psychology from Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Institute Of Medicine, and an M.A in Psychology from Trichandra Multiple Campus, Tribhuvan University. Previously she completed B.Sc Nursing: from C.M.R College of Nursing-Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science, Bangalore.

As the Clinical Focal Person at TPO Nepal, she is responsible for identifying psychosocial, emotional, or behavioral issues of clients and conduct psychosocial support through helpline service as well as in person. In addition, she provides psychosocial service and psychotherapeutic interventions to clients having mental health and psychosocial problems, by using various evidence -bases modalities. She is also responsible for developing different psychosocial intervention manuals/guidelines and translate international guidelines/toolkits and modules for use in Nepal. Her other responsibilities include monitoring client progress through regular meetings or sessions, maintain an adequate record of services and activities, facilitate capacity building activities (training and supervision) of other psychosocial service providers, and facilitate consultative meetings, workshops, webinars, and podcast series. Her interests include child and adolescent psychiatry (prevention and promotion), personality disorders, and anxiety disorder. Recently she worked with People of concerns (POCs) for emotional support and linkage to line agencies.
