Capacity building for UNICEF implementing partner NGOs for community based psychosocial care for CAAFAG
This project was funded by UNICEF from 1 January 2007 to 31 December 2008. This was a three phase project focusing on capacity building for psychosocial care for Children Associated with Armed Forces And Groups (CAAFAG) in eight districts. Phase one focused on developing and piloting a training course for NGO staffs working with CAAFAG, developing their basic skills in dealing with psychosocial issues related to the reintegration of CAAFAG. The project resulted in the capacity building of 8 organizations in 8 districts, in providing psychosocial care for the reintegration of CAAFAG. Within the 8 districts, 120 people were trained for approximately 40 days each, through a series of short training alternating with supervised practicums.
